The WAMS Lab is housed in the Department of Biological Sciences at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. We are recruiting 1 MS student to start in January 2027 or August 2027 for a lemur microbiome project. I am no longer accepting undergraduates or graduate students at UBCO.

Prospective undergraduates: We are recruiting an undergraduate research student for Fall 2026 with an interest in host-microbiome interactions and wildlife conservation to work with Miranda on a bear microbiome project.

We also welcome undergraduates interested in gaining research experience in fieldwork, DNA extraction, microbiome analysis, project management, and/or bioinformatics. Email Laura with a short introduction, a brief CV, and your transcript for Fall 2026 and Summer 2027 opportunities.
