We are currently recruiting 2 fully funded graduate students (MS or PhD) to start Fall 2024.

The Grieneisen Lab is housed in the Department of Biology at the University of British Columbia- Okanagan Campus in Kelowna, BC. The Okanagan is one of the most biodiverse regions of Canada.

Prospective undergraduates: We welcome undergraduates interested in gaining research experience in fieldwork, microbiome analysis, and/or bioinformatics. We are currently recruiting summer research students to start in May 2024. Email Laura with a short introduction, a brief CV, and your transcript.

Prospective graduate students: We are currently recruiting 2 graduate students to start Fall 2024 under an NSERC-funded grant on how environmental stressors affect longitudinal microbiome dynamics in diverse wildlife populations. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in R, microbiome datasets, time series analyses, or avian or mammalian fieldwork.
